System Verification activities on the Trent 1000 programme, responsible for the verification of aircraft engine control requirements in accordance with ARP4754. Providing technical lead to system verification engineers in the creation and reviewing of test scripts, system testing, test data analysis, fault investigation, configuration control, verification documentation, training and development plans. Coordinating with the customer to ensure quality, cost and schedule are met within fixed software lifecycles.
Control System design activities on the Trent 700 Refresh programme for the Airbus A330. Responsibilities include the software requirement management (analysis of existing and creation of new requirements), specification, design and validation of the replacement Engine Electronic Controller (EEC) within the FADEC System. Liaising with customers, software, hardware, systems and software verification and safety to ensure phased functional software releases to fixed timescales.
Control System design activities on the Trent XWB Gas Turbine Engine Control System for the Airbus A350. Responsibilities include the software requirement management, specification, design and validation of various functions within the engine control system (includes Starting, Quick & Auto Relight, Airframe Inputs/Outputs, Power Supplies and Data Entry Plug).
System design activities to define, implement and validate engine control and monitoring requirements for gas turbine engines on the Trent 900 Engine Control System for Airbus A380. Main responsibilities are software requirement management, specification, design and validation for the on-aircraft Interactive Maintenance Tests. Liaising with AIRBUS in France and internal departments within Rolls-Royce (Software, Hardware, Verification, Safety, Service Engineering, Publications) on a day-to-day basis.
