Systems Team Leader on the Eurofighter Helmet programme which includes: Drive the implementation of the systems solution, providing the day-to-day direction of the systems engineering team, during the project lifecycle, from specification to verification. Lead a team of Systems Engineers to generate agreed project systems to specification, schedule and cost.
System engineering activities on the Eurofighter Helmet programme which includes: Specification Analysis, Requirements Management, System Integration, Qualification, Verification, Validation, PDDP & FDDP Activities, Rig & Flight Trials, and Technical Support to Subcontractors & Workshare Partners in the UK & Abroad.
Design and development of Digital/Analogue/RF/Microwave/Optical ATE’s, test fixtures and ATE software. Produce Requirement/Design/Production Acceptance/System Acceptance Specifications. Design Reviews and technical exchanges. Integration, demonstration and customer acceptance of ATE’s.
Provided quality engineering and design assurance services to Ministry of Defence and Commercial contracts, which included quality planning, demonstration and acceptance trials, software vetting, investigating quality problems, attending design reviews, ensuring project compliance with company procedures and attending project and customer meetings.
Duties included electrical and mechanical manufacture of mayor & minor sub-assemblies, PCB assembly and repair, complex structures, complex wiring looms and mechanical modifications to both prototype & production standards.
Responsible for the design and development of CAPTOR Radar Processor and Receiver Environmental Stress Screening test equipment throughout product lifecycle from requirements capture phase through to detailed design, integration testing, qualification and certification to Customer acceptance.
System design on the Emergency Personal Locator Beacon for the MOD. Responsible for the Qualification and Acceptance activities, liaising with MoD customer, subcontractors, suppliers, software and hardware to ensure flight clearance of the product into service.
